In the diverse natural environment of Koppl are some moorlands but principally the remains of the Koppler moor. The Koppler moor is home to various types of sedge, heather, different berry plants and orchids. The peaty soil is best for trees such as weeping birches and pine trees. Regarding fauna, there are several rare butterflies, birds, weasels, ermines and the bank vole.
