I usually associate this with a quiet hour in nature, which means I go there on foot. If it snows then I'm over the moon. Then the mood is just right for a mulled wine or a hot cocoa. What I find totally beautiful is Advent in the smoke house. There you sit in a room without electric light, only a few candles and two or three kerosene lamps illuminate the old room. The tiled stove heats up properly and the music goes straight to the heart. I can sit there hour after hour, talk to my neighbors, ponder in front of me and just enjoy the moment. When I think about it so much, the hustle and bustle that so often depresses us at this time is far away. But I also often enjoy the hustle and bustle and smells on the markets. There is so much to see, try and ideas for gifts can also be found. I like it when I have nice little things for my loved ones and I actually always find something there. Well, I think it's wonderful that there are so many different offers here in Advent. There is something for everyone and for me anyway. by Eva Frimbichler
