Autumn returns to the Fuschlsee Region

Throughout the summer until the end of September, guided tours of the museum take place in the 500-year-old Rauchhaus Mühlgrub. You can immerse yourself in a life without electricity and running water. A special experience are the Hof yodelling afternoons, where you can learn the art of yodelling.

Traditionally, locals and guests celebrate the "fifth season" in SalzburgerLand with folk music and dancing at the big Bauernherbst festivals on 1th of September 2024 in Faistenau.

At the Bauernherbst festival, people sit together, make music, taste and celebrate. In Faistenau, the whole village celebrates with its guests and locals the Bauernherbst festival, which is known far beyond the village borders. The village square with its 1000-year-old lime tree is decked out and provides a perfect backdrop. Together with the local associations, the farming community, the catering trade and many other helpers, visitors are offered a colourful programme of music, dance and craft demonstrations: the foot chopping competition or the train cutting show who has the most muscles. The horse-drawn carriage rides are more leisurely, and those who want to can try out their singing talents at the top of the hour. The farmers' wives and the innkeepers on the square provide for your physical well-being. From crispy doughnuts to Alpenburger, there is something for everyone.
