The guided, culinary e-bike tour takes place every Tuesday from May to October and is all about enjoyment. Accompanied by Harry Kantsberger, a passionate cyclist and e-bike enthusiast, you can explore the scenic beauty of the Fuschlseeregion and experience culinary highlights at the same time. Every pedal stroke opens up new worlds of enjoyment, which I would now like to share with you.
Our culinary e-bike tour starts at the Casa Bicicletta in Fuschl am See. The Casa Bicicletta organises guided bike tours, but also designs individual training plans for experienced cyclists and cycling holidaymakers. Harry is the owner and founder of Casa Bicicletta, and on a beautiful Tuesday morning we hop on our e-bikes and tackle the first stage full of anticipation.
The bikes' electric drive allows us to make effortless progress so that we can concentrate fully on our surroundings. The fresh air and rolling hills provide the perfect backdrop for our adventure. Our first stop takes us to the Teufl organic farma Galloway cattle farm. Quality over quantity is the motto of farmers Silvia and Andreas Teufl. Their cattle have plenty of time to grow and are fed exclusively on grass and hay from their own herb meadows. The young animals spend the summer on the mountain pasture. You can buy the organic meat products they produce themselves in their own farm shop and at various weekly markets in the region. The farm shop is open on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Andreas Teufl tells us more about his Galloway cattle, and we are given a tour of the farm and the butcher's shop and, of course, a little refreshment in the farm shop before we continue our journey.
The tour then continues to the rock pool in the Strubklamm gorge. If you're not afraid of cold water and want to refresh yourself in the idyllic natural pool, don't forget to pack your swimwear and a towel for the culinary e-bike tour. We then continue along the turquoise-green Hintersee until Harry suddenly stops. He tells us that you can continue on foot to the so-called ice chapel. The ice chapel is built by nature every winter, so to speak. Thanks to its sun-protected location, the mini glacier remains in place well into the summer.
We stop again briefly in the centre of Hintersee and Harry tells us about Joseph Mohr, the author of the most famous Christmas carol in the world: "Silent Night". Mohr was a teacher in Hintersee and wrote the lyrics. Hikers can now follow the idyllic Joseph Mohr hiking trail in Hintersee.
We then continue onto the Sonnbergrunde. Here we really get the batteries of our e-bikes going on a long climb, but at the same time we can enjoy the beautiful view of the Osterhorn group and as far as the Faistenauer Schafberg. Our next culinary stop is the Hatzenalm. Here you will be spoilt with traditional hut dishes, including the speciality of the house - baked mice, a delicious dessert.
Before setting off on the rapid descent back to Fuschl am See, the pro gives us some tips on braking and cornering. The impressions of this culinary e-bike tour will stay with me for a long time. I was impressed not only by the beauty of the landscape, but also by the variety of regional specialities. The combination of exercise, nature and culinary delights makes the culinary e-bike tour a unique experience. The e-bike allows everyone, regardless of fitness level, to explore the Fuschlseeregion in a very special way. The gentle hills and picturesque vantage points always offer new perspectives and invite you to marvel and relax. With Harry as your charismatic host and his expertise, you are sure to have an unforgettable time. Lake Fuschl and its culinary treasures are waiting to be discovered by you. Come along and experience unforgettable moments full of pleasure and enjoyment!
