The 500 year old historical monument “Rauchhaus Mühlgrub” is a typical small farmhouse where during the year various events take place. Special events in the harvest time: guided museumtour 01. and 15. Sept. 2023

The "Rauchhaus" (that means "Smoke House"), a farm designated as a monument, is located on the high ridge between Thalgau and Hof and is embedded romantically in an orchard of old fruit trees. The name "Smoke House" applies as the smoke rose from the open stove without chimney located in the house (hall). Over the stove one finds a wooden "fire hat" to repel sparks, above the house in the attic is a kind of stage made of planks with trap doors as a smoking floor on which sheaves of grain were stored for drying out. In the "Rauchhaus" avarity of events take place during the year. The location can be rented privately for small events ( birthday,...) over the year as well.
