“Grandma's Kitchen – The Best Kitchen in the World"
Course Info: Grandma's kitchen is unmatched. Nowhere does it taste as familiar as where generations have cooked with simple ingredients, experience, and a lot of devotion. Many of these dishes accompany us throughout our lives and are closely linked to memories of family celebrations, Sundays, and childhood. In the Michelin Guide, chefs are awarded stars. Two stars mean: “Worth a detour.” When we consider the dishes and memories many of us associate with our grandmothers, then our grandmas were undoubtedly two-star chefs. In this cooking course, we will dedicate ourselves to the classic dishes of rural everyday and festive cuisine that have been passed down through generations. Together, we will prepare thick semolina soup, Szeged cabbage chicken, stuffed peppers in tomato sauce, beef roulades with mashed potatoes, and stuffed grilled chicken with bread-rosmary filling and Risibisi rice. The sweet conclusion will be Buchteln with vanilla sauce – a dish whose aroma instantly evokes memories of grandmother's kitchen for many. Besides the recipes, you will learn interesting facts about the origins of the dishes, traditional preparation methods, and those little techniques that often make the difference between a good and an unforgettable meal. The course begins at 2:00 p.m. Cooking together will last until about 6:00 p.m., after which we will enjoy the prepared dishes in a cozy setting. A course for everyone who wants to rediscover the flavors of their childhood and preserve the traditional recipes of our grandmothers.
