Welcome at our family hotel! Let us spoil you!

Our family hotel is situated in a sunny position at the beginning of Faistenau. Our house offers a good location for interesting sightseeing- and hikingtours. The centre of Faistenau, with the landmark of the 1000 year old lime-tree, is about 400 m from here.

The cross contry trails pass directly on the other side of the road, smaller ski lifts - ideal for children and beginners - are in the immediate vicinity. In addition to tobogganing, ski touring or snow tubing, you can also enjoy relaxing winter activities such as horse-drawn carriage rides or the winter hiking trail.

It's easy to relax and enjoy your stay in our roomy and comfortable rooms! All rooms are stylishly furnished, with carpet and a beautiful view over the mountains of Faistenau. All rooms are non smoker rooms.

In our restaurant we serve traditional Austrian meals and homemade cakes and we'd like to spoil you. At the breakfast buffet you will find different breads from our local bakery as well as all your heart desires! Enjoy the rich selection of delicious meals or use the possibilty to book the halfboard arrangement with a 3 course menu.

The sunny terrace invites you to a relaxing afternoon with a beautiful view of the mountains. For the children there is a small play room.

Spend the best days of the year in the charming ambience of Faistenau, with traditional Austrian meals and in the family atmosphere of our hotel.

Accessibility / arrival

By car: Arrival via the West motorway A1, junction Thalgau. Follow the main road (B 158) in direction to Hof bei Salzburg until you reach the traffic circle “Baderluck”. At the first junction turn into the main road (Hinterseestraße) and after a few kilometers you reach your holiday destination Faistenau. Before your reach the main road to Faistenau, on the left side you find the "Gasthof Botenwirt"! With the Postbus From Salzburgs bus station, opposite the train station, there is a good bus connection into the Fuschlsee region and also to Faistenau. You will find details in internet under www.svv-info.at. With the Train Information and connections can be found under following addresses www.oebb.at or www.bahn.de. By Air Salzburg Airport lies very close to Salzburg city. The Bus Nr. 2 brings you from the airport to the main station where you change to continue with the post bus.
