A full-day village festival with craftsmanship demonstrations awaits visitors at the village square.
The festival begins at 10:00 a.m. with a festive mass on the festival stage under the 1000-year-old lime tree. The entrance of the traditional clubs will also take place, accompanied by a small brass group.
After the festive mass, the mayor will officially open the festival and conduct the Stiegl beer tapping.
At 11:00 a.m., the tour of the festival grounds will start, followed by a concert by the Faistenau traditional music band at various locations.
All day long, there will be musical entertainment, including performances by the Emaus disciples, who present traditional brass music on historical instruments.
The Faistenau folk singing group will present several folk songs and yodels. Everyone is warmly invited to try their talent and join in the open singing and yodeling at 12:30 p.m. on the festival stage.
At 1:15 p.m., the traditional dance of the local history club "zur Alten Linde" will take place under the 1000-year-old lime tree.
At the stalls, there will be demonstrations of old craftsmanship and farming arts such as: knitting, making rakes, sharpening knives, binding Alpine wreaths, feather stitching, basket weaving, carpet weaving, painting porcelain, and much more.
The church path with the open museum in the shooters' hall invites exploration, and there is an extensive children's program for the little guests. The wooden skittle alley, alpacas, and horse-drawn carriage rides will also delight visitors.
As a sporting attraction, the traditional "Fuaßhakl" competition for young and old will take place in the afternoon on the festival stage.
Great care has been taken to ensure culinary delights. At the Faistenau gourmet street, there will be alpine burgers, smoked Faistenau trout, cheese dumplings, suckling pig, game from the Faistenau forest, doughnuts, and pofesen. Homemade juices and spirits will round off the Faistenau harvest festival appropriately.
The event will be held as a green event, and visitors are requested, if possible, to arrive without cars to contribute to climate protection. Bus connections can be checked on the website salzburg-verkehr.at. A shuttle service will take visitors from the parking lots and bus stops to the festival grounds.
