Driving down of the cattle from the mountain pasture Poschenhütte Genneralm

After the Alpine summer the farmer bring down the decorated cattle from the mountain pasture to the farm in the valley. Refreshments will be served while listening to folk music.

The farmer move represents every year a great solemnity in alpine summer life! Because if the animals have survived the summer accident-free, they are festively decorated and driven to the valley with a party. Every year, the farmer move of the Genneralm forms a fixed point in Hintersee.

From 11:00 o'clock you can fortify yourself with hearty regional food and listen to the last folk music.
The cattle will be decorated and at 2:30 pm the alpine pastures will go down to the valley with their animals.

From the Lämmerbach car park, a well-marked path leads to Poschenhütte - Genneralm (approx. 1,5 hours).
