These huts consisted of a scaffold made of piles, which was covered by bark bands. Inside the front room was a fireplace in the centre, surrounded by simple wooden benches. In the rear of the hut was an area for four lumberjacks to sleep. When the workers had moved on and the huts were no longer being frequented, the huts, over time, eventually decayed. The **cattle hut** were simple dwellings made of wood. In the old days it served as a refuge for the wood workers, when it was not possible to return home after working in the forest because the distance was too far. **Method of construction** They built the shelter from the materials they had at this time, the thinner poles and the bark from the felled trees, which if possible, were peeled in one piece from the trees. The shape allowed water to run well and so the weather could not affect the huts too much. They were closed on three sides and at the front was the entrance and exit. **Facility** In the middle of the woodpine field was the fireplace, built of logs and stone slabs, where on an open fire in a simple iron pan the *"Muas",* which consisted only of water, flour, salt and a large amount of lard or butter, was prepared and cooked.
