The Ruming Mill, built in 1872, is a water mill that belongs to the Ruming estate.

every Tuesday (starting June 2, 2026): bread baking and snack day at the Ruming Mill
every Friday (starting May 8, 2026): snack day and mill demonstrations - fresh Pofesen and farmer's donuts starting May 29, 2026
every Saturday (starting May 9, 2026): snack day at the Ruming Mill

Many years ago, it was decided that the mill would be renovated and made accessible to the public. The goal was to revive the old tradition of milling grain and to show it to the public. In the past, the farmers of the village Fuschl am See brought their grain to the mill to have it ground by the miller.

First, the water wheel was restored, and then a wood-fired oven was built. After a long search, an original oven was found and set up.

Our tip:
Park your car at the Fuschlseebad or at the former summer toboggan run (parking fee starting in 2024) and walk from there to the Rumingmühle.
On the way there, you will pass a Kneipp facility.
Shortly before the mill, there is an herb garden on the right side.

Every Tuesday (starting May 19, 2026) between 14:00-17:00, there are tips in the herb garden on how to use herbs effectively in everyday life.

The entrance to the Zwergerlweg is located on the right side before the herb garden.

On hiking trail No. 28, about a 15-minute walk from the town center towards Ellmautal.
