24h Salzkammergut - 4 Mountains 3 Lakes
From the village of Fuschl am See, which is the start and finish point, the first stage leads to the Wartenfels forester's lodge, below the Schober. From here you can marvel at the beautiful sunset over Lake Fuschl. After this experience, the participants start their night stage in a good mood, which first leads them to the Theklakapelle and the Almkogel, above the Mondsee. The next highlight of the tour is the sunrise on the Schafberg (1,782 m) or on the way there. The striking mountain of the Salzkammergut mountains forms the highest point of the hike and also the breakfast break. After about 10 kilometres of descent, you reach the Lake Wolfgangsee, which invites you to take a short swim if the weather is nice. From St. Gilgen the 24h hikers follow in the footsteps of the 12h hikers and are only about 30 minutes behind them. During the lunch break, in addition to a fresh meal, you can enjoy the view of the Wolfgangsee. Well fortified, the participants then reach the Elferstein and the Zwölferhorn via the 4Mountains-3Lakes Trail. During a short rest, the summit moment can be enjoyed to the full. After a short descent, the Sausteigalm is waiting to welcome our hikers with coffee and cake. Via the Arnoweg and the Rumingmühle for the last stage back to Fuschl am See for the finisher party.
