The lucky places of the Holiday Region Fuschlsee
13 of the 200 lucky places can be seen at the very West of the Region Salzkammergut. The Fuschlseeregion nearby the Mozart-City Salzburg celebrates some new members of the lucky places collection. The " Hundsmarktmühle" in Thalgau, which lies directly on the walk around the lake Fuschl, has now become one of the Fuschseeregions lucky places. Also the "Rauchhaus Mühlgrub" in Hof bei Salzburg is now a lucky place. It is an over 500 year old typical farm where an outdoor museum is now to visit. Furthermore the Mayerlehen-hut at the Gruberalm in Hintersee can now also be seen as a member of this list. Even Kaiser Franz Joseph came here regularly to enjoy one of their delicious "Kaiserschmarrn", which is one of the most popular Austrian Desserts. Last but not least the Rumingmill in Fuschl am See enriches our region as a new lucky place. The old mill from 1872 was revitalized 25 years ago and is now subject to visit for 3 days a week. From the "Bread-baking Season start" with traditional musicial entertainment our guests can visit the mill every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday to bake bread traditionally with local women or just enjoy a nice snack served by the mill landlady. Furthermore guests may explore the water garden of the local " Kneipp"- association, a herb garden or the Gnome Path surrounding this lucky place. Directly at all of our new lucky places there are Carving Trees where you can eternalize your sweetheart’s Name with our lucky-knifes in the old traditional way.
